Company History & Key Milestones
Empire Bakery Equipment was established in 1977 with a mission to bring world-class baking solutions to American bakeries. In 1985, we expanded by acquiring F.W. Huber, a respected manufacturer of horizontal dough mixers founded in the 1940s. A year later, we began importing spiral mixers, ovens, and dough processing equipment directly from Europe, giving U.S. bakeries access to cutting-edge technology. During the rapid rise of the bagel industry, Empire became the leading global supplier of bagel-related equipment, further cementing our reputation for innovation and reliability.
As demand grew, Empire relocated to a larger facility in Hempstead, NY, in 1995, and in 2006, moved to our current headquarters, which spans 15,000 square feet in Hicksville, NY. Today, our operations, warehousing, and state-of-the-art test baking facility enable us to research, demonstrate, and continually improve our product lines. Over the last five decades, we’ve grown alongside the baking industry, supporting retail and wholesale bakeries, food service operators, and pizzerias with durable, dependable equipment.
